On October 9, Anirudh Ravichander took to X and wrote, “#Leo," followed by a series of fire, bomb and trophy emoticons. This got Thalapathy Vijay’s fans more excited for the movie.

Anirudh Ravichander was in the limelight recently after he scored back-to-back hits. From Rajinikanth’s Jailer to Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, Anirudh has been creating records with his work.

Earlier, when Leo’s makers unveiled the trailer, it garnered immense appreciation from fans. In the trailer, Thalapathy Vijay can be seen in a blood-soaked, massy avatar. The name of his character is Leo Das. The video opens with quick shots, showing an encounter between police and gangsters in the Kashmir Valley. It also offers a sneak peek at the movie’s plot, which revolves around Vijay’s character, an apparently mild-mannered café owner who suddenly turns into a local hero after a violent incident. As the story unfolds, he begins to confront the consequences of his past life. Apart from Vijay, the trailer also introduced the antagonist of the film, portrayed by Sanjay Dutt.

Leo is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and backed jointly by SS Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy. It is the third instalment in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe and also stars Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan and Mysskin in important roles.

Manoj Paramahamsa handled the camera work for the film, while the editing was done by Lokesh’s frequent collaborator, Philomin Raj. The film is also dubbed in Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu.
