Telugu film producer Allu Aravind, who is also Allu Arjun’s father, made a shocking statement about Kannada actor Yash. In a recent event, the filmmaker was discussing the impact of actors’ fee in the film’s budget and stars hiking their remuneration after a hit film. It was during the discussion that Allu Aravind brought up Yash’s name and asked about his work before the success of KGF. He noted that Yash was not a Pan India name before KGF released. The film worked because of his performance and the budget allocated towards impressive production outcome.
As reported by Hindustan Times Telugu and translated by Google, Allu Aravind said, “A person who is the lead actor in a movie, gets 20 to 25 percent of the amount of that movie in the form of remuneration. However, it cannot be said that the budget of the movie will increase only because of their remuneration. Irrespective of who the actors are, investments are made there because the movie should be made big.”
Taking Yash’s name, the producer added, “Who was Yash before the release of the KGF movie? Why did that movie make noise? He lifted the movie up because of the making and grandeur. It was that richness that led to the success of the movie. This is just one example. Whoever the hero of the movie is, it is because of the making that it attracts the audience.” Allu Arvind said, “The moment a big artist is chosen, the movie will not win. It is also important to give quality.”
Yash is yet to comment on the statement. The actor has been busy with his upcoming work. While it is rumoured that Yash could make a cameo in Salaar. It is also reported that he will be a part of Ramayan, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. It is rumoured that he will be playing the role of Ravana while Ranbir Kapoor has been roped in for Lord Ram.
