New Delhi: Xavi has acknowledged that Barcelona have not won anything yet, but that their game against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night was "perfect".

The Spanish play-maker was at the heart of the midfield as the Catalan side tore Bayern apart in the first-half, scoring four times in the process.

Speaking on Thursday, Xavi admitted there are no secrets to the way they play, but that the mentality of the team is strong this year.

"Josep Guardiola teaches us that if we work as a team then it is easier. If you run five or ten metres to help your team-mates, everything is simpler and you enjoy having the ball more. There are no secrets. In football this has all been invented," Marca reports him as saying.

"It has been fantastic, the fans have enjoyed it and it has been better than imagined. There is always room for improvement though. The mentality of the team this year is extraordinary and it helps us to win matches and to go on the pitch to attack our opponents. No secrets exist."

Certainly against Bayern they attacked with great success and the 4-0 win has almost put them through to the semi-finals already.

Xavi recalled that a few seasons ago they were in a similar position against Getafe though, winning the first-leg 5-1, and then losing in Madrid 4-0 to go out of the Copa del Rey.

"We are not through, there are still 90 minutes left. We have experience of going away from home and losing, so we will be going to win in Munich. The result against Bayern was perfect, the play too and we enjoyed it a lot," he explained.

Despite the compliments though, Xavi believed they are unwarranted as he stated that "we still we have not won anything, only played a great game, and nothing more".

He did however pay tribute to the front three of Samuel Eto'o, Lionel Messi and Thierry Henry, who all scored last night.

"To have these players is where we make the difference. Teams normally have one or two great players but we have three to change games and that is fantastic. It is perfect because we have depth too and it works, we cannot ask for more," he concluded.
