The grand premiere of Bigg Boss OTT 3 is just a few hours away! Glimpses from the reality show have already piqued the curiosity of several fans, who are eagerly waiting to catch it tonight on Jio Cinema Premium. The first confirmed contestant of this season is Chandrika Dixit, popularly known as the vada pav girl. There are strong speculations that Ranvir Shorey, Sai Ketan Rao, Shivani Kumari, Anjum Fakih, Sana Makbul, Sana Sultan, Mika Singh and Arman Malik along with both of his wives, Payal and Kritika, will also be a part of the show.
And now News18 Showsha has exclusively learnt the name of another contestant who will join the list. Giovanni DelBiondo, who shot to fame as Anil Kapoor’s doppelgänger a couple of years back, will apparently make his debut in the Indian entertainment space with Bigg Boss OTT 3. A well-placed source tells us, “Giovanni, who’s popularly known as The Lad, will be revealed as one of the contestants at the grand premiere of the show. The body builder and diet coach from Virginia in the USA recently flew down to Mumbai and he’s excited to share the stage with Kapoor. He has been harbouring the dream of becoming a Bollywood actor and he’s looking forward to this new chapter.”
This will be the first time that Kapoor and DelBiondo will come together on camera. In an interview with Hindustan Times in 2022, he had revealed that he came to know about his uncanny resemblance with the veteran actor when people started tagging him in one of his earlier pictures. In the same year, DelBiondo took to social media to share a collage featuring himself and Kapoor, which grabbed the attention of Bollywood celebrities like Karan Johar and Varun Dhawan.
Reports also suggest that author Shobhaa De has also been confirmed as a contestant on Bigg Boss OTT 3. With an eclectic mix of actors and social media sensations, this season promises amp up the entertainment and drama quotient that the show is known for. As for Kapoor, this is the first time that he has taken on the role of a host for the reality show. The first and the second seasons were hosted by Johar and Salman Khan.
Much like every year, Omung Kumar has designed the house along with Vanita Garud. The theme of locks and keys weaves through the décor of the entire house has reminded viewers and fans of the Harry Potter films. Speaking to us exclusively, he said, “This time, we thought we would be coming to a fantasy land – a crazy place where everything is an illusion. There are huge books and a huge dragon that comes out of the wall and goes in… I’ve had some hundred thousand locks and keys all over the place. I’m playing with keys, keyhole, and locks as far as the theme of this season’s house is concerned (sic).”
