UPSC Results 2023: Among 1016 Selected Candidates, Only 42 From Hindi Medium
Among the 42 successful candidates from Hindi medium, 29 studied Hindi literature as their subject.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced its final exams’ results, with 1016 candidates securing positions, out of the 1143 vacancies available. UPSC has compiled a reserve list including 240 candidates. According to the report, among the 1016 selected candidates, only 42 are from Hindi medium backgrounds. Interestingly, out of these 42 candidates, one has opted for English as their optional subject. Among the 42 successful candidates from Hindi medium, 29 studied Hindi literature as their subject. Additionally, four candidates specialised in both History and Geography. Two candidates each opted for Philosophy, while one selected Political Science. Interestingly, despite having Chemistry as their subject, one candidate took the examination in English. Lastly, the remaining candidates studied Gujarati literature.

Among the 42 Hindi medium candidates who secured positions in the UPSC, Rajasthan contributed the highest number with 18 selections. Following closely, Uttar Pradesh secured the second position with 12 selections. Nine candidates hail from Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar had only one successful candidate. In addition, Chhattisgarh and Gujarat each had one candidate who cleared the examination.

As per the report, approximately 15,000 candidates participated in the UPSC Civil Services Main Examination. Among them, 1400 candidates opted for English as their medium of examination, while only 500 chose Hindi. Among them, only 42 out of 500 Hindi medium candidates were selected for the final stage. In contrast, out of the 1400 English medium candidates, 950 successfully made it to the final selection.

The UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) is a prestigious and competitive examination. It opens doors to careers in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and other A and B Group Central Government Services. Every year, the UPSC conducts this exam, drawing candidates from different educational backgrounds and professions.

Aditya Srivastava took the top spot in the examination. Following him, Animesh Pradhan secured second place, while Donuru Ananya Reddy claimed third. These top achievers, along with other successful candidates passed the examination with their sheer dedication, determination, and academic abilities.
