The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has recently released the answer key for UPSC Prelims conducted in 2023. All the candidates who appeared for the UPSC Prelims 2023 exams can now access the UPSC Civil Services GS-I Answer Key 2023 and GS-II Answer Key by visiting the official website at upsc.gov.in.
The exam held on May 28, 2023, featured the GS 1 exam which took place from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, followed by CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The UPSC Mains exam was conducted in two sessions: from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, spanning throughout September 2023.
The final phase of the selection process, the interviews for the personality test occurred between January and April 2024.
In the released answer key, the commission has omitted one question from each series of paper 1 general studies 1. Paper 1 comprised a total of 100 questions, carrying a total of 200 marks. Meanwhile, Paper 2 for general studies 2 consisted of a total of 80 questions with a maximum of 200 marks. The negative marking was applicable in the exam.
UPSC CSE Prelims Answer Key 2023: How To Download?
Candidates can follow these simple steps to download UPSC Prelims 2023 answer key:
Step 1: Go to the official website of UPSC – upsc.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, navigate to the ‘Examination’ tab.
Step 3: Select ‘Answer Keys.’ You will be redirected to a new page showing answer keys for GS 1 and GS 2 exams.
Step 4: Click on it. This will open a PDF file containing the answer key for the respective examination.
Step 6: You can download the answer keys and take a print out for future reference.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the final results of the Civil Services Examination in April. Aditya Srivastava secured the top position, achieving All India Rank (AIR) 1. Following him closely is Animesh Pradhan at AIR 2, and Donuru Ananya Reddy at the third position. Aditya Srivastava obtained a remarkable score of 899 in the written test, and 200 in the personality test, making his total as 1099. The difference between AIR 1 and 2 this year stands at 32 marks, with Animesh Pradhan securing 892 in the written test and 175 in the personality test, totalling 1067 total marks. This year, as many as 1,016 candidates are shortlisted.
