The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conclude the registration process for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) 2024 today, May 10. Candidates are encouraged to complete the UGC NET application form by visiting the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in. NTA has rescheduled the UGC NET examination. The revised date for the exam is June 18, which was changed from the initial date of June 16. This decision was made to avoid a clash between the UGC NET and the UPSC prelim exams. The UGC-NET exam will cover 83 subjects and will be conducted in the OMR (pen and paper) format.
The deadline to submit the UGC NET application form is May 10, with the option to pay the registration fee extended until May 12. Additionally, candidates will have the opportunity to make edits to their submitted application forms. The NTA will open the application correction window from May 13 to May 15, during which candidates can update their personal details, academic qualifications, exam city preferences, and scanned photos.
For registration, candidates will need to provide several essential documents which include their class 10th and class 12th mark sheets, qualifying degree certificate, passport-size identical photo, signature, valid photo ID, category certificate (if applicable), and Caste certificate (if applicable).
UGC NET 2024: How to Register?
Step 1: Go to the official website: ugcnet.nta.ac.in
Step 2: Find and click on the link “UGC NET June 2024 Registration/Login” on the homepage.
Step 3: Register and proceed to fill out the application form. If you are already registered, simply log in with the requested details.
Step 4: Upload all necessary documents, pay the fees, and submit the form.
Step 5: Don’t forget to take a printout for future reference.
UGC NET 2024: Registration Fees
For General category candidates, the UGC NET registration fee is Rs 1,150, while for Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) candidates, it is Rs 600. Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Transgender candidates are required to pay a reduced fee of Rs 325.
It’s worth noting that the notification regarding the announcement of the city of the exam centre will be displayed on the NTA website(s) -ugcnet.nta.ac.in and nta.ac.in, approximately 10 days before the exam date.
