In the pursuit of becoming a doctor, the NEET-UG exam stands as a crucial hurdle. Success in this exam is a significant milestone towards realising the dream of a medical career. Ruby Prajapati’s remarkable story journey to achieving this milestone is nothing short of inspirational.

Ruby, whose father drives an auto-rickshaw, faced significant challenges in the path to success. After three unsuccessful attempts, Ruby finally cracked the NEET-UG 2023 exam on her fourth attempt with a score of 635. Discovering Physics Wala’s YouTube videos and enrolling in his NEET-UG crash course played a crucial role in her success. Her perseverance and dedication have earned her a place in a medical program, bringing her one step closer to fulfilling her lifelong dream of becoming a doctor.

Ruby completed her Class 12 from a government school and is now pursuing an MBBS degree at VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. Hailing from a small village in Gujarat, Ruby’s aspiration to become a doctor was fuelled by her desire to provide medical care to her community and support those lacking access to healthcare.

One of her initial hurdles was covering the cost of coaching fees. Due to financial constraints, her parents could not afford tuition. Fortunately, her uncle stepped in to support her, funding her NEET-UG preparation and enrolling her in a coaching institute to provide the necessary guidance.

Ruby lives with her father, a homemaker mother, and an elder brother who faces speech delay disorder. Ruby’s journey to medical school took a significant turn after she overcame tuberculosis in 2018 and began her focused preparation for NEET-UG.

Tragically, Ruby’s younger brother passed away nine years ago after battling tuberculosis twice. This personal loss has further strengthened her resolve to make a difference in the lives of those in need. According to a report by the Indian Express, Ruby’s journey exemplifies resilience and commitment to her community.

Ruby is also making waves as a YouTuber with a robust following of 14,900 subscribers. On her channel, she shares valuable insights on acing the NEET-UG exam through her daily life vlogs.

During her preparation, Ruby also gave back to her community by offering free tuition to local children. With no coaching centres available in her village, she helped other eager students while managing her own expenses. Ruby continues to teach, finding great satisfaction in supporting others. She credits her determination for overcoming poverty and depression, stating that giving up would have meant missing out on her achievements and ability to make a difference.
