The examination, consisting of five papers in life sciences, chemical sciences, mathematical sciences, physical sciences, and earth sciences, will be conducted online, with each paper carrying a weightage of 200 marks. The medium of the examination includes both English and Hindi, with three parts featuring subjective and multiple-choice questions to be completed within a three-hour timeframe.

For the Computer-Based Test (CBT), a minimum of 33 per cent is needed for General, EWS, and OBC candidates to qualify for both fellowship and lectureship.
