The Madhya Pradesh government recently transferred many officers. Afterwards, the names of the officers have been in the headlines. One such officer is IAS Aditi Garg, who has been appointed as the collector of Mandsaur. Earlier, she was posted as Deputy Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office.
Before taking charge as the collector, she visited the Pashupatinath temple in Mandsaur and offered prayers. She prayed to Lord Pashupatinath Mahadev for prosperity in the area. Garg is an IAS officer from the 2015 batch. She hails from Dharwara village in Katni district. Her father, OP Garg, has also been the Director General of Police of Madhya Pradesh.
IAS Aditi Garg graduated in Economics from Mumbai University in the year 2024. After this, she went to the UK for higher studies. She obtained a post-graduation degree from the University of Warwick in 2006.
Garg then returned to India from the UK and worked as an IRS and IES officer. After this, she became an IAS by securing the 54th rank in the UPSC. In 2020, she wrote on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), “Five years ago, the UPSC result changed my life. Earlier, I worked as a management consultant in London. After returning to India, I first joined the IES, then the IRS, and then finally IAS service. It was a very learning experience.”
According to the reports, Avi Prasad, who was the Collector of Katni District, has been made Under Secretary of the Government of Madhya Pradesh, Mantralaya, and Bhopal. An IAS officer of the 2014 batch, Dilip Kumar Yadav, has been assigned the role of Collector of Katni District. Yadav was previously the Collector of Mandsaur District.
Reportedly, IAS officer Avinash Lavania of the 2009 batch has been posted as additional secretary, CMO. He also held the additional charge of managing director of the Madhya Pradesh State Road Development Corporation.
IAS officer Ansul Gupta of the 2016 batch has been appointed as deputy secretary, CMO, with additional charge of managing director, Madhya Pradesh State Electronic Development Corporation. Apart from them, several other officers were also transferred.
