Last year Kuldeep Yadav revealed during an episode of ICC Review how Shane Warne would often advise him about spin bowling before passing away. Kuldeep said that he would often look at old videos of the late spinner to gain some extra inspiration.

“If there is any doubt (with how I am bowling), I look at his old action. I feel I am very lucky to have spent some time with him and to have been his good friend. Because I used to watch him on the television and observed how he used to dismiss the batters and his planning. He was quite strong mentally. When I played in Sydney, he helped me quite a bit. I learnt my bowling from him and he is the person I have followed forever,” Kuldeep said, as per multiple outlets.

Shane Warne’s IPL Stint

Shane Warne competed in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for four seasons from 2008 to 2011. He won the trophy with Rajasthan Royals in 2008.

Rajasthan is the only team Warne represented in the IPL. He bagged 57 wickets in the 55 matches he played. Warne’s all-time tournament average stands at 25.39 with an economy of 7.27. He also scored 198 runs in the four seasons of the franchise tournament.
