Amul India Pays Tribute To Outgoing Team India's Head Coach Rahul Dravid
Rahul Dravid's stint as India's head coach came to an end on June 29, with India's win in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024.

Amul topicals are a big hit among social media users in India. Their creatives never fail to disappoint fans, and the latest one deserves your attention. The diary brand has paid a fantastic tribute to the Indian cricket team’s outgoing coach, Rahul Dravid. The ‘Wall of Indian Cricket’ capped off his stint as the coach of Team India on a promising note, having lifted the T20 World Cup trophy in Barbados. To mark the occasion, Amul shared a wholehearted post along with a cheeky caption that showcased the fine art of playing with words.

The post featured an animated version of Rahul Dravid celebrating Team India’s triumph while holding the prized T20 World Cup trophy. “Aapki aur team ki khoob Jammy,” read the post shared along with a doodle. “Amul, calm ho gaya,” the post further read. For the caption, Amul opted for, “Rahul Dravid retires as coach of the Indian team on a triumphant note.”

Nicknamed ‘Jammy,’ Dravid has been one of the stalwarts of the Indian cricket team, both as a coach and as a player. As per a report published by PTI, Dravid’s father used to work for Kissan, a company famous for producing jam. Probably, that explains the reason behind Dravid getting such a unique moniker, ‘Jammy.’ The PTI report went on to state that Dravid was given the nickname ‘Jammy’ by his classmates at St. Joseph’s Boys’ High School.

Amul’s tryst with Rahul Dravid is not something new. Previously, they had reacted to Dravid’s iconic CRED advertisement campaign, featuring him in a never-seen-before angry avatar. Amul wrote, “Jammy is raging, Butter is calming,” while also adding, “Amul, take a deep breath.”

Coming back to on-field developments, the Indian team, under the coaching of Rahul Dravid, remained unbeaten at the T20 World Cup 2024 and won the title for the second time. India got the better of South Africa in the final by 7 runs in the final played on June 29 to become champions.
