Manoj Bajpayee, at 54, is excitedly taking on consecutive projects and appreciates the love from his audience. Known for his role in ‘The Family Man,’ he’s happy to be able to explore various genres while many are following trends. In an interview with indianexpress.com, Manoj discussed seizing the opportunities presented to him and shared a glimpse into his family life, mentioning how his daughter, Ava, complains about him not spending enough time at home.
When asked about taking breaks from work and his real-life resemblance to the ‘family man’ character, the actor shared that while his family is understanding, his daughter often calls him out for not spending sufficient time with her. “My family understands that today he is not sitting at home and waiting for the next project to happen or a good film to land in his lap. So they are happy but sometimes they fight with me too, but most of the time they are very happy for me. They have seen me through the years, been with me through thick and thin, so I don’t think there is any problem. But my little one fights with me. She says, ‘you don’t know anything, you don’t know anything about my math, what problem I am having, so now I have to go and meet her math teacher!”

He is currently seen in Abhishek Chaubey’s Killer Soup, which is touted as a black comedy which doubles up as a thriller. The story revolves around Konkona Sen Sharma’s character named Swathi Shetty, who is an amateur but ambitious chef and hopes to open her restaurant someday, so she can serve her favourite Paya soup to her customers.
