Bobby Deol made a remarkable comeback with his negative role in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal. However, it was Prakash Jha’s web series, Aashram that took Bobby’s career graph on a rise. In the series, Bobby played the role of Monty Singh aka Kashipur Waale Baba Nirala, a self-proclaimed godman who is powerful as well as evil in nature. He manipulates his followers in the name of religion and runs various criminal activities.
The series, with three successful seasons, has kept audiences hooked with its gripping storyline. Despite teasing a fourth season two years ago, fans eagerly await its release. While the cause of the delay remains unknown, Chandan Roy Sanyal, who plays Bhopa Swami, hinted that the upcoming season might be released in the coming months.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actor shared insights about the progress of season four and suggested that some portion is yet to be filmed. Chandan added, “Everyone is asking the same question. I think it should come this year. Tayaari toh poori hai. Some portions of the shoot are remaining and some scripting too is happening.”
Chandan Roy Sanyal further revealed that wherever he travels, like airports or restaurants, people greet him with Japnaam. He said, “Aashram is such a show that has reached all sections of the audience. Whether it’s an auto rickshaw driver or bus driver, CRPF guard, security guard at the airport, air hostess, biggest surgeon at Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital, etc. All of them are doing Japnaam. The way Prakash ji has made the show, it has gone far and wide.”
In an earlier interview with News18, Chandan discussing Season 4, spilled some beans about the exciting journey and mentioned how the bond between Bhopa and Baba is heating up, along with Pammi also entering the mix to change things. Chandan described the upcoming season as a spicy blend of conflicts and unexpected turns. He expressed his excitement and assured fans that Season 4 will take the series to new heights.
Other than Chandan Roy and Bobby Deol, Aashram also stars Aaditi Pohankar, Tridha Choudhury, Esha Gupta, Anupriya Goenka and Darshan Kumaar.
As fans wait for Bobby Deol’s return as Baba Nirala in Aashram, the actor is gearing up for his South debut in Suriya’s Kanguva. The first look from the movie has already been released and fans of Bobby are delighted with his character. Additionally, rumours suggest that Bobby might appear in Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious project, Ramayana, as well as in Nandamuri Balakrishna’s untitled film, Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu and the next instalment of the popular comedy franchise, Housefull 5.
